Ruby Saigon Murnik (b. 2001, Los Angeles, CA) is a multidisciplinary artist and student currently based in Brooklyn, New York. They are working towards completing a BFA @ Pratt University w/ a concentration in Drawing.
Saigon’s work centers around the abstraction of recognizable symbols + materials in the development of their visual lexicon. Saigon’s dedication to process/material/tools, creates an oscillating energy between obsession and affection within their work. This vivacity in production coincides with Saigon’s repeated themes of simultaneity, relation, commitment, and love: highlighted by applications of drama + humor.
